DESCRIPTION:This event is proudly supported by Big Screen VideoAFL Gather Round 2025 kicks off again\, celebrating all things Footy in South Australia over one action-packed weekend – 18 teams\, 9 games\, and one massive Festival of Footy and for the first time\, AFL Gather Round will venture to the Barossa. SANFL in partnership with Parks & Leisure Australia and The Barossa Council present the Gather Round Behind the Scenes | SANFL Facilities Forum on Thursday 10 April 2025 in the Barossa. Join us to celebrate the 2024 winner of SA Football Facility of the Year – Tanunda Recreation Park\, find out more about The Barossa Council’s “Big Project”\, hear from SANFL about Facilities & Funding opportunities\, and get an exclusive behind the scenes tour of Barossa Park – Lyndoch during Gather Round! Starting at Tanunda Recreation Park\, we will tour the facility before jumping on chartered buses to Barossa Park for a behind the scenes tour during event week. We will then jump back on the chartered buses to head back to Tanunda Recreation Park for guest speakers\, panel sessions and of course some lunch! *Book now before registrations close 12pm Monday 7 April!* 								\n				\n					\n				\n		\n					\n				\n				\n																														\n				\n				\n				\n									About Gather Round Gather Round will return to South Australia from Thursday 10 April to Sunday 13 April\, following the incredible success of the first two years. Gather Round 2025 will again see a round of the Premiership Season fixture played in South Australia\, with nine matches over four days\, and all 18 clubs descending on Adelaide and South Australia. The 2025 event dates will coincide with school holidays in Victoria\, Western Australia\, New South Wales and Queensland. Research has shown that interstate visitors make up 33% of match attendances for Gather Round. The event achieved $91.6 million economic contribution and contributed to 191\,696 visitor nights in South Australia\, with interstate visitors spending on average 4.5 nights in the state.
