DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT				\n				\n					\n				\n				\n				\n					Leisure and Recreation Planning Course 2024				\n				\n				\n				\n									Leisure and recreation planning is the strategic discipline of planning for optimum outcomes from community participation in leisure and recreation. This involves consideration of current and future spaces\, facilities\, demographics\, social and cultural trends. The objective is to provide adequate facilities that are economically\, environmentally and socially viable for the long term. A Leisure and Recreation Planner is responsible for identifying and reviewing planning\, design and development of leisure and recreational spaces and facilities\, and how needs of community are addressed by them. A leisure and recreation planner has a range of skills including\, but not limited to urban design\, regional and urban planning\, corporate strategic planning\, asset management\, recreation programming and events management. The nuances of each local government mean that a Leisure and Recreation Planner has a broad remit of roles and responsibilities. It is intended that this course will support new (and existing) Leisure and Recreation Planners.   								\n				\n					\n				\n		\n					\n				\n				\n					Target Audience				\n				\n				\n				\n							\n\n						\n				\n								\n			\n			\n						\n\n				\n									\n						Existing Leisure and Recreation Planners including those with no formal or tertiary management qualifications and those wanting to update or validate their existing skills and knowledge.					 \n				\n			\n			\n		\n						\n				\n				\n				\n							\n\n						\n				\n								\n			\n			\n						\n\n				\n									\n						People that have no qualifications or qualifications in a relevant field but have experience working in the leisure and recreation industry or other work as a similar nature. For example\, Club Development Officers\, Community Development Officers\, Place Makers and those working at State Sporting Associations.					 \n				\n			\n			\n		\n						\n				\n				\n				\n							\n\n						\n				\n								\n			\n			\n						\n\n				\n									\n						People that have unrelated or somewhat related jobs and / or qualifications that want to move into this field.
