SUMMARY:Webinar: Valuing Green–Blue Infrastructure in Perth and Peel
DESCRIPTION:Webinar: The value of green–blue infrastructure in Perth and Peel \nPerth’s climate is changing. Declining rainfall over recent decades has placed growing pressure on traditional water sources and highlighted the need for more resilient\, integrated approaches to urban and regional planning. \nGreen-blue infrastructure – such as wetlands\, waterways\, parks\, and urban trees – play an increasingly important role in supporting liveable\, resilient cities and regions. Despite their importance\, these assets are often undervalued or overlooked in decision‑making processes. \nThis webinar will present the findings of a recent project\, commissioned by Water Sensitive Cities Australia (WSCA) for the WA Water Sensitive Transition Network\, examining the economic\, social and environmental value of green-blue infrastructure across Boorloo (Perth) and Bindjareb (Peel). \nThis session will be of interest to anyone working across urban planning\, water and land management\, environmental policy\, or community development who seek to better understand and effectively communicate the comprehensive benefits of green-blue infrastructure. \nTo Register please follow the link below: \nMicrosoft Virtual Events Powered by Teams \nPresenters:  \n \nJacob Helgeby-Cook – Senior Consultant\, Marsden Jacob Associates \nBio: Jacob Helgeby-Cook is a Senior Consultant at Marsden Jacob Associates specialising in environmental economics\, non market valuation and evidence based decision support.
