PARKS AND STREETSCAPES SUPERVISOR

- Salary $86,168 – $98,620 pa plus allowances (eg. call out remuneration)

About the role:
Reporting to the Open Space Coordinator, this role will supervise the Parks and Gardens activities including; General Horticulture, Tree Pruning, Cemeteries and other Parks Maintenance activities relating to the City of Busselton’s Open Space network, ensuring optimum presentation within adopted budgets. Staff and contractor management are key to the role.
The Parks and Streetscapes Supervisor is also required to participate in the Operations on-call roster and coordinate minor emergency activities.
What you need to succeed:
- We are ideally seeking applicants who can bring the following skills and experience to this role:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Horticulture, Arboriculture or equivalent and a minimum five (5) years recent related experience.
- Proficient at reading landscape design plans.
- Proficient in scheduling techniques.
- Proven experience in the supervision of teams.
- Proven experience in dealing with consultation processes in a team environment, and key stakeholders at various levels.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of WHS regulations.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability in providing information for the preparation of draft reports.
