The Role

Make a difference in our community!

Be a key member of a dynamic team within the Parks and City Forest Unit maintaining garden beds in high profile Parks, Streetscapes, Civic and Activity Centres and public open space. Provide maintenance and improvement works on Council’s horticultural assets in a safe, efficient and effective manner. The position is required to undertake a variety of tasks efficiently and to a standard which ensures public safety and protects the natural environment.

About you

Gardeners are required to carry out general horticulture maintenance activities in the establishment and beautification of Councils open spaces. If you have an eye for detail, have had outdoor experience managing landscapes and are passionate about plants and the natural environment, we’d be keen to hear from you.

Working in a crew of like-minded people, you need to be self-motivated and be responsible for the quality, quantity and timeliness of allocated work performance and under supervision.
