Fixed Term Full Time – Commencing March 2025 (14-Month Maternity Leave Position)
Band 7 – $102,953 – $114,927 + superannuation and RDO
We are looking for a Team Leader Sport and Recreation to ensure the Hobsons Bay community has access to quality sport and recreation facilities and services which promote healthy and active lifestyles.
What you’ll be working on:
– Leading the Sport & Recreation team including two direct reports.
– Coordinate the administration of sport and recreation facility allocations, bookings and permits.
– Negotiate outcomes relating to reactive sports club and community issues, to ensure positive outcomes are achieved which align to Council objectives.
– Develop and drive key participation programs, aligned to Council’s endorsed strategies and plans.
What you need to succeed:
– Excellent collaboration and engagement skills with a demonstrated ability to produce positive and effective outcomes.
– Substantial knowledge of sport and recreation industry trends and issues.
– Effective analytical, problem solving, negotiating and decision-making skills.
– Tertiary qualification in Recreation, Management or related discipline.
