About the Opportunity
The newly created position of Community Recreation Team Leader will lead and support the Community Recreation Team in the delivery of club development, community participation and facility management initiatives for recreation and open spaces across Mitchell Shire.
This role will set the direction, systems and processes that strengthen Council’s relationship with sporting clubs, associations and community based Committees of Management, supporting them to be well-governed, inclusive and sustainable.
This position plays a critical leadership role in building partnerships, implementing strategies that increase participation, and ensuring equitable access to high-quality recreation and open space facilities that contribute to the health and wellbeing of the community.
This role is a permanent opportunity with a Monthly ADO. Remuneration begins at $102.7K to $114.7K (Band 7) plus superannuation.
About You
We are looking for an energetic and passionate leader of the Community Recreation Team, with demonstrated experience in the planning, delivery and evaluation of recreation programs, clubs development initiatives and community facility management.
Ideally you will have tertiary qualifications in Recreation Management, Sport Development, Community Development or a related field with experience is developing and leading a team with collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
You will have a commitment to customer service excellence, with well-developed presentation, communication, and group/committee facilitation skills to engage effectively with a broad range of community and organisational stakeholders.
