About the role
-This critical role is a key component of the Strategic Master Plan for the Botanical Gardens.
-You will use your management skills to lead the horticulture team.
-Cultivate partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
-Oversee the Living Collections Master Plan and Tasmanian Flora Conservation Plan.
-Play a critical role in the assessment of tree health throughout the gardens maintaining safety standards.
Our ideal candidate has
-Experience in horticulture and arboriculture.
-Experience managing or supervising teams.
-A growth mindset to learn new practices and contribute to the safety management of the site.

About us
Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens (RTBG) is a State Government statutory body, governed under the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens Act 2002 and is administered by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment. A seven member RTBG Board is appointed by the Minister to manage the RTBG, with a director appointed to manage day-to-day operations within the Gardens.
