It’s an exciting time for tennis in Australia and we have ambitious plans to continue to grow the game from grassroots through to high performance. We are transforming how we deliver tennis, with the aim of making it more accessible, to more people, more often. To help us achieve our plans, we are looking for a Places to Play Officer to join our Tennis New South Wales team.

The Places to Play Officer will collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders to deliver projects and services aimed at enhancing the network of tennis facilities in NSW. This role is ideal for an emerging recreation planner or sports administrator with a strong interest in applying their skills to network planning, grant administration, sports infrastructure development, and improving venue performance and sustainability to meet the current and future needs of the sport and its communities.

About The Role

In this role you will:

Provide comprehensive project management, administration and business support; Assist with the Tennis NSW Facility Enhancement Fund by maintaining the grant platform, supporting applicants and internal team members, managing grant data, developing reports, overseeing assessments, and tracking applications and projects; Help manage the Tennis NSW Project and Investment Ready Toolkit, including resources and communications; Support the Places to Play Manager and Places to Play Lead with initiatives, local government engagement, network planning, venue sustainability, and other projects from the Tennis Development team; Utilise GIS mapping and other network planning tools, data analysis and research to generate impactful insights, reports and presentations

About You

What you will bring to the role:

Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail; High level computer skills (MS Office), particularly with presentations and report writing; Eagerness to learn and utilise additional systems and data tools, such as GIS, mapping, Power BI, and infographics, to enhance reporting; Strong interest in sport, preferably with a background or knowledge of Tennis; Tertiary qualifications in Recreation Planning, Sports Administration, or a related field, with a strong interest in advancing a career in Recreation Planning and Infrastructure Development within the sports and recreation sector; You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
