Community Health & Wellbeing

The PLA WA Community Health and Wellbeing Position Paper was developed for use by the PLA WA regional council, members and stakeholders to identify key issues and priorities for the parks and leisure industry relating to community health and wellbeing. It was drafted following review of health-related policy at global, national and local levels.

Copies of the Position Paper, Literature Review and Checklist are available to be downloaded below.

Following feedback received from the Community Health and Wellbeing Position Paper, PLA WA Regional Council will develop an action plan outlining strategies, activities and opportunities for PLA WA to incorporate into its strategic and business plans.

The PLA WA Health and Wellbeing Position Paper will be presented in its final published form to the industry in December 2013.

PLA WA would like to thank Dr May Carter, Karen Milligan, Rachel Thorpe and Joanne Smith for their valuable contribution.
