The formation of the Beaumaris Sports Club followed 10 years of planning and community fundraising, and culminated with the opening of a new multi-functional community pavilion in September 2018. The Sports Club is a new entity with membership from the three tenant clubs at Banksia Reserve: the Beaumaris Football Club; the Beaumaris Cricket Club; the Beaumaris Lawn Tennis Club; plus three community representatives.

Behind the scenes the project has been, and continues to be, a challenge for all involved. This Forum is a 'must-attend' by any council considering a large, integrated pavilion project with multiple tenants advocating for a 'sports club model' through which they intend to lever capital funding and operational revenue to underpin the build and the ongoing operating costs.
