In the rapidly evolving landscape of local government, the challenges of community engagement and equitable access are best solved through working together.
This event is designed to strengthen cross-council networks and sector-wide collaboration in activating local communities to thrive and feel connected through health and wellbeing initiatives. The forum will provide valuable insights, opportunities and meaningful connections to support your work in increasing participation and inclusion across your municipality.
Date / Time: Tuesday 19th May, 10-2pm
Location: 61 Napier Street, Footscray. Civic and Precinct Community Hub.
Target Audience: Officers and leads in club development, community participation, health & wellbeing, active recreation, and fair access.
By attending, your team members will:
Solve participation challenges: Engage in a live “current landscape” workshop to troubleshoot the sector’s biggest hurdles in reaching under-represented cohorts.
Gain cross-council knowledge: Access first-hand case studies from leading Councils showcasing successful health, wellbeing, and active recreation initiatives.
Build functional networks: Participate in structured networking designed to connect officers with peers who have already successfully implemented data-led planning, inclusive programming, and innovative park activations.
Identify partnership opportunities: Uncover key regional partnerships that can be leveraged to maximise council resources.
