- Learn about new approaches, projects and innovations in parks management.
- Expand your professional network and develop your skills.

Guest Speaker
Brent Whiteman | Civica AborSafe
The importance of trees and urban forest – managing the risk

Brent brings 20+ years in environmental services and vegetation management, with experience across commercial, analytical, and leadership roles. Strengths include tendering, operational performance, and contract management. Brent has supported major urban tree management programs across Australia, helping councils navigate procurement, risk, and best-practice standards for tree management.
Our first forum will be held online, Wednesday 29th July, 11.30am, making it easy for professionals from across the state to get involved. Looking ahead, we’re excited to also explore face-to-face forums hosted by councils, providing opportunities to visit parks, explore projects on site, and strengthen connections with colleagues from across Queensland.
If you’re passionate about creating and maintaining great parks and open spaces, we’d love you to join us. Come along, be part of the conversation, and help shape the future of parks management in Queensland.
Meeting invite details will be sent the day before the event
