The Big Squeeze - Meeting the Critical Need for Local/District Sport Facilities
This workshop aims to identify innovative and proactive strategies and opportunities for the industry to meet this major demand. It follows on from the work done by the Northern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (NSROC) late last year. The half day facilitated workshop will include speakers from NSROC (as a case study), major sporting codes, and government agencies.
Have a chance to understand from sports directly how a lack of sports grounds / facilities is affecting them, any innovative actions already being taken by sports to address this issue and where they think key stakeholders should be focusing their efforts to solve this problem.
The aim is to support the professional development of all those involved in the planning, delivery and funding to meet the growing demand for local/district sports facilities.
