Join Parks & Leisure Australia and the Town of East Fremantle in a tour of the East Fremantle Community Park, where you’ll get an in depth look at this incredible facility and how it was brought to life.

Attendees will hear from multiple key stakeholders who will take us on a journey through the timeline of the project. Sharing insights into the origins of the idea, to the considerations in the design process, and what challenges were presented throughout.

Furthermore, venue staff will present their experiences with the facility now that it is fully operational, sharing evidence on what works well, and what areas can use improvement.

Finally, we will hear from the CEO of East Fremantle, Jonathan Throssell, to learn about the benefits this facility provides to the community and how it aligns with the Council’s vision for East Fremantle.

After all guests have presented and the tour concludes, stick around for some networking drinks and the opportunity to meet our presenters.

About the East Fremantle Community Park

At a cost of almost $35m, the newly redeveloped East Fremantle Community Park boasts something for everyone, including first-class sporting facilities for football, lawn bows and croquet; Carnaby’s Café, Bar and Restaurant; an all-abilities playground; B-Active Health Club; a vibrant function space; an outdoor basketball half court; a skate zone; and an enclosed dog exercise area.

The precinct is also home to the East Fremantle Football Club, East Fremantle Croquet Club, East Fremantle Bowls Club and East Freo Playgroup.

The East Fremantle Community Park was proudly supported and funded by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries ($25m), Lotterywest ($1.345m) for the playground and skatepark, AFL Facilities Fund ($250,000) and the Town of East Fremantle ($8m).

The East Fremantle Community Park has become the community’s beating heart, offering a vibrant mix of health, recreation and social spaces. A collaborative effort between the Town of East Fremantle, Belgravia Leisure and local stakeholders, the project has been praised for its vision of fostering community spirit and sustainability.
