Community Facility Guidelines Report – high level public open space and sport data review

PLA (WA) completed an analysis of public open space and sport space provision in the Perth and Peel region in 2019. This allowed a review and update of the draft 2012 Guidelines for Community Infrastructure (also on PaRC). This analysis compliments a suite of guidance publications – Community Facility Guidelines Report, Guidelines for Community Infrastructure, Community Infrastructure Typologies and Lighting Guide Guide for WA Community Infrastructure. These publications do not proffer mandatory or minimum standards rather they are tools to be used. This summary report analyses the information collated and assessed and focusses on public open space and facilities for the selected sport by age band and indicated the percentage of population serviced by each facility type.
