To provide strategic direction for the future provision of sport facilities and sports development (programs and services) throughout Casey.
The key aim of the Leisure Facilities & Development Plan was to provide strategic direction for the future provision of SPORTS FACILITIES and SPORTS DEVELOPMENT (programs and services) throughout Casey. The key Objectives were to 1. identify and quantify community sporting needs and aspirations. 2. Identify and foster partnerships with other public and private stakeholders for the provision of sporting facilities and programs. 3. Identify strategies to facilitate Sports Development and to increase community participation in sport and active recreation. 4. Recommend a sport/active recreation planning framework. 5. Recommend a new Capital Works Assessment Policy .
