For decades, the City of Melville managed its 18km of Swan River foreshore through a patchwork of disconnected strategies that were reactive, fragmented, and under resourced. The Foreshore Management Plan (FMP 2025) changes that permanently. Underpinned by the most comprehensive foreshore assessment ever conducted in Melville, charting a lasting path toward biodiversity recovery, erosion management, and climate resilience for its ~100,000 residents.
