Submission Overview
The City of Burnside delivered a major sustainability upgrade at the George Bolton Swimming Centre by replacing its gas heating system with efficient electric heat pumps. The project cuts emissions by 75 per cent, protects a 150‑year‑old River Red Gum and surrounding biodiversity, avoids disturbance to First Creek, and enhances the landscape while delivering a modern, reliable, year round community facility.
