Submission Overview
Guardians of the Park reconnects disengaged urban youth with nature through a 10-week program combining ecological restoration, cultural learning and outdoor education. Delivered in Western Sydney Parklands, the initiative improves wellbeing, builds environmental stewardship and strengthens community connection while restoring endangered Cumberland Plain Woodland. Participants work alongside environmental practitioners and First Nations educators, developing confidence, practical skills and a deeper relationship with the landscapes they help care for.
