Sandfield Reserve exemplifies contemporary open space renewal, transforming an underused and unsafe reserve into a vibrant and resilient community destination. A comprehensive masterplan and strong community engagement supported advocacy and State and Federal Government partnerships to deliver on the vision. The project shows how visionary planning, authentic engagement and technical excellence create a resilient, inclusive and valued asset, setting a new benchmark for suburban open space design.
