Overview:

Installation of the Seniors Exercise Parks and the supportive programs and activities following six park upgrades resulted in increased older people’s park visitation and engagement in physical activity. The establishment of age-friendly outdoor spaces in six Victorian municipalities has created active parks where older people can gather, exercise, and socialise, fostering healthier communities.

Overview:

Federation University and Active Communities team at City of Casey designed this research to identify barriers and co-design programs that improve the physical activity of women in Casey. This research provides evidenced-based data to inform council decision-making and strategically invest in community programs and contribute to health and wellbeing. By actively engaging women through this process, the aim has been to empower them and ensure that their perspectives, needs, and preferences are central to the development of programs.

Overview:

The Australian Golf industry commissioned the Community Benefits of Golf in Australia report to understand the substantial economic, social and environmental benefits that golf contributes to everyday Australia. SGS Economics & Planning implemented a robust methodology that is game changing for the industry. This report quantifies and clarifies a depth of data on how Australians engage with golf and the benefits that flow beyond the spend on an activity (typically the basis of most community impact studies).
