Federation University and Active Communities team at City of Casey designed this research to identify barriers and co-design programs that improve the physical activity of women in Casey. This research provides evidenced-based data to inform council decision-making and strategically invest in community programs and contribute to health and wellbeing. By actively engaging women through this process, the aim has been to empower them and ensure that their perspectives, needs, and preferences are central to the development of programs.
