In celebration of World Leisure Day, Parks and Leisure Australia (PLA) Advisory invites you to a special webinar moderated by Dr. John Tower from Parks and Leisure Advisory, exploring the critical role of volunteers in parks, leisure, and recreation professional associations.
About the Webinar:
The webinar aims to raise awareness about the role of volunteers in the park and leisure profession and provide insights about how to become involved in park and leisure associations. The webinar guests will discuss how volunteering for professional associations draws on industry-based expertise to improve and develop the delivery of leisure experiences. The webinar will feature guests from park and leisure associations who volunteer to contribute to their profession. The webinar will explore the guests’ motives for being involved, their personal benefits and how their contributions have enhanced communities’ physical, mental, and social wellbeing. Attendees will gain insights about how they can become involved by working with their professional association.
