Winner of the Parks and Leisure Australia (Vic/Tas) Playspace Award (>$0.5M) for 2023, the space draws upon extensive community consultation with elements reflecting the Shire’s coal mining history and amazing natural environment.
About Guide Park Regional Playspace
Guide Park is a nature based intergenerational playspace like no other. A homage to the Bass Coast landscape this intricate design sits underneath an avenue of shade trees. With a range of unique, off-the-shelf and nature based elements it provides an open ended environment for people of all aged and abilities to access, socialise and most importantly have fun in.
The project includes a mine themed slide tower, flying foxes, a trampoline, carousel, gentle exercise area and nature based play. Supporting infrastructure also includes a drinking fountain, bike racks, pathways, fencing and an accessible BBQ.
