insideEDGE is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Consultant to lead and manage a variety of sport, recreation, community facility and local government projects. You will be working within a small, collaborative team and liaising with a wide range of sporting and public sector stakeholders to provide strategic planning and advice. You will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects and contribute to the growth of the sport, recreation and leisure industry.
Key Responsibilities
– Provide high-level strategic planning advice to government, community, education and sporting sectors.
– Consult with government agencies, sporting organisations, local governments and local communities on sport, recreation and facility development initiatives.
– Lead quantitative and qualitative data gathering, research and analysis functions for strategic projects and prepare written reports based on research findings and industry trends and knowledge.
– Oversee project delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines.
– Develop project methodologies, budgets and tender submissions.
– Manage client relationships and ensure exceptional customer service.
Qualifications & Experience
– Minimum 3 years’ experience in consultancy or 5 years in a government or sporting body role.
– Tertiary qualification in planning, recreation, sports management or a related field.
– Proven ability to deliver multiple complex projects on time.
– Proven ability to write evidence based, compelling reports that guide decision making.
– Strong presentation, communication and inter-personal skills.
– Strong knowledge of community facility planning, funding, and delivery processes.
Position Details
The position offers flexible working, including a mix of office based and work from home arrangements. Some regional Victoria and interstate travel is required from time-to-time.
Salary range (based on skills and level of experience) is $100,000-$120,000 (plus Super).
