Blake Cochrane

Blake is one of Australia’s most accomplished Para-swimmers, with a career spanning more than a decade. He has earned two gold and two silver medals across three Paralympic Games, along with two world titles, three minor World Championships medals, and four Commonwealth Games medals.
He made his international debut at the Paralympic Games, announcing himself with a silver in the men’s 100m breaststroke SB7. Four years later, he delivered one of his most dominant performances, winning gold in the same event by more than three seconds ahead of Japan’s Tomotaro Nakamura, with Australian teammate Matthew Levy taking bronze.
Blake continued his success at Tokyo 2020, adding bronze in the 100m breaststroke SB7 with a time of 1:16.97. Beyond competition, he was appointed to Paralympics Australia’s inaugural Athlete Commission in 2017 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology.

Jason has over 25 years of experience in the sport and recreation industry and became a Director of Otium Planning Group in 2018. He has led projects across Australia and New Zealand for governments, sporting bodies, and developers, with expertise in facility planning, land use, and community recreation strategies.
With a background in managing regional and state-level facilities and owning a swim school, Jason brings practical insight to his work. He previously held senior roles in the Queensland Government and in sport facility management, and regularly presents at industry conferences.
Jason is also a skilled consultation specialist and board member, with deep knowledge of governance in the not-for-profit sector.
