In our latest Industry Talk session we heard from Jackie Grieve, Coordinator Leisure & Open Space Planning at the City of Monash, to explore the Westerfield Drive Sensory Playspace– winner of the Parks and Leisure Australia (Vic/Tas) Playspace (<$0.5M) Award for 2023. About Westerfield Drive Sensory Playspace Westerfield Drive Sensory Playspace delivers a new sensory playspace in Notting Hill for children of all abilities (and their families/carers) to enjoy in an area of Monash that had an under-provision of open space and playspaces.This playspace provides opportunities for sensory stimulation (sound, sight, touch, smell), as well as engagement in interpretive, educational and nature play elements, and includes mural art and Access Key. |
