  • September 01, 2023

In our latest Industry Talk session we heard from Jackie Grieve, Coordinator Leisure & Open Space Planning at the City of Monash, to explore the Westerfield Drive Sensory Playspace– winner of the Parks and Leisure Australia (Vic/Tas) Playspace (<$0.5M) Award for 2023. Thanks to all who attended and took part in the discussion around the planning, design and construction of this unique, inclusive playspace. Of course, a big thank you to our presenter Jackie for her time and expertise. You can find the full webinar recording at the link below.

About Westerfield Drive Sensory Playspace

Westerfield Drive Sensory Playspace delivers a new sensory playspace in Notting Hill for children of all abilities (and their families/carers) to enjoy in an area of Monash that had an under-provision of open space and playspaces.

This playspace provides opportunities for sensory stimulation (sound, sight, touch, smell), as well as engagement in interpretive, educational and nature play elements, and includes mural art and Access Key.
