Active Women and Girls in Moreland Strategy

This strategy identifies opportunities and recommendations concerning the participation of women and girls in sport, recreation and physical activity in Moreland. In the 2008 Mayors speech, Councillor Lambros Tapinos stated that a clear objective of the Moreland City Council over the next four years was to “promote a healthy lifestyle and increase the participation of sports activities in our community particularly amongst women and girls.” Moreland’s Active Women and Girls Strategy has been prepared after significant community consultation to provide a framework which will achieve this objective.
