Parks, People and the Environment

The Australian people and visitors are now reasonably served by parks of various types ranging from zoos to botanic gardens, from neighbourhood parks to great national parks. However, this paper exposes the inadequate size and distribution of parks to meet local community needs, particularly in the inner suburban areas of the big cities.
