CONFERENCE PROGRAM
Bringing together industry experts and thought leaders, the conference will offer inspiring and innovative content celebrating the PEOPLE behind the PLACES.Taking place over two days, the program will take place in the main conference space (instead of multiple streams and rooms) and will be a carefully curated program bringing together interesting ideas and experienced presenters. The Awards of Excellence will take place on the evening of Day 1.
Day 2 will be a breakfast with a keynote speaker followed by Technical Tours in the Sunshine Coast area.

Presenters
Peter Frewin
Peter holds the position of National Sales Manager at Syngenta, a proud partner of PLA. He has been involved in the turf industry for over 40 years, in that time he has held multiple roles including 21 years at The Barwon Heads Golf Club in various management roles. He is both a past President and C.E.O. of the AGCSA (now ASTMA) and worked with multiple global companies including Rain Bird, FMC and Australian Agribusiness. Peter will be presenting on Satellite Imagery with a focus on how NDVI can assist LGA’s in managing the venues.
Professor Catherine Pickering
Professor Catherine Pickering from the School of Environment and Science is a plant ecologist with over 330 publications and numerous awards. As part of her research, community service and teaching she is focused on the conservation of biodiversity, enhancing engagement with nature and exploring more sustainable solutions to the challenges faced by people and biodiversity in cities such as the Gold Coast.
