A History of the Royal Autralian Institute of Parks and Recreation: Change and Continuity

This history of the Royal Australian Institute of Parks and Recreation (RAIPR) traces the growth of the Institute from its formation as the Victorian Tree Planters’ Association to its sixtieth anniversary in 1986. After 1945 its members became increasingly concerned with improving the administration of parks and the education of people responsible for park development and maintenance.

The history is arranged chronologically. It relies heavily on the official records of the Institute, supplemented by interviews.
