Scenic Amenity of the Sugar Catchments: Moreton Mill Area

While there is considerable empirical and theoretical evidence to support the conclusion that natural environments have greater aesthetic value than urban or built environments, there is also considerable diversity within what might be called ‘nature’, indeed many ‘semi-natural environments’ such
as parks and agricultural landscapes have important aesthetic values as well as some urban environments. This paper applies the scenic amenity methodology using the Moreton Mill Canelands as a case study.
