Grazing on the Crown Land

This Bulletin has been compiled as an aid to those involved in managing Crown land–for officers of this and other departments, committees of management, licensees or lessees, adjoining landowners and any others. The Bulletin deals with grazing by introduced “stock” (including sheep, cattle, horses, goats– and depending on the context, rabbits) on natural vegetation or on Crown land carrying a substantial remnant of natural vegetation. The word grazing here includes browsing of trees and shrubs as well as grazing of herbs and grasses.
