Presentation outlining the SEQ Community Greenspace Network Plan. Emphasis regarding the network plan is placed on co-location of outcomes and uses eg. landscape stakeholders working in harmony, with multiple landscape values, based around existing uses (tourism and outdoor recreation enterprises, Government agencies, NGOs like SEQ Catchments), rather than land acquisition, or planning for wholesale landscape change. As of 2011, the land area was 21.5% of SEQ, with 70% being north of Brisbane.
Options for optimising the future network, and decision support criteria (landscape values, connectivity and demand) are presented, along with data on community greenspace per capita and % of regional growth and community greenspace by LGA.
